This company cancelled my hotel and kept the full value of my booking. Yes, this was during covid, and they used their small print to justify their actions, saying I should claim on my loss in my travel insurance (which I did have). But why should I have a claim on my insurance record when they cancelled the reservation? Despicable behaviour. Will never use again.

Just cannot get hold of anyone at customer service. Chat now does not work, phone lines keep going dead and email you don’t hear back from!?

Everything went well with the booking. I hope the break booked later this year goes as well.

Lots of choice easy to navigate the web site and some great offers . So easy to book

I don't usually write reviews, let alone poor ones but I feel people should be warned about the possibility of believing you have booked a holiday through Secret Escapes only to find that when you arrive there is no room and the hotel you had chosen is fully booked. That is what happened to us. We had email confirmation from Secret Escapes but when we arrived at the hotel, they had no record of the booking. To make matters worse the hotel were full for the weekend.
We were offered a small refund from Secret Escapes but it really was a token and not acceptable at all.
Please consider carefully booking with Secret Escapes. I certainly will not be using them again.

From booking to the stay everything was easy.we stayed at the Mercure hotel in haydock from check-in everything thing was four star staff were 5star and worked extremely hard nothing was to much trouble.There was a wedding on but even though did have a little wait for food but the food was worth the wait and the staff did apologize can't wait to go back in August ?⭐⭐⭐⭐.

My favourite place to book a break

I booked a 2 night break for my wife and I. On the payment page it had cost £258.00 credit £49.00 total to pay £209.00. I pay with my debit card thinking I have paid £209.00 then I receive a confirmation email stating amount paid is £258.00. They really should be absolutely clear on their prices. It's certainly put me off booking with them again
